About Police Bank

When we began

Police Bank started way back in the early 1960s. A smart group of police officers had the idea of forming a mutual organisation for the benefit of all police.

Who we support

Today, we keep building on our collective success to find new ways to support members and their families within the police community.

Police Bank is run by members for members. That means we’ll do more than any other bank to support you and those you care about. There are no external shareholders to influence the course of our activities.

Profits are returned to Members in the form of better interest rates, products and services.

What we do

We’re working hard today to protect the financial security and wellbeing of our policing families for tomorrow. We back police sporting teams and events, represent the needs of police through police associations and — through police legacies — support the families of officers who have passed away in the line of duty.

Why we get it

We understand the daily challenges of being a police officer. We do everything we can to make it easy to bank with us. We offer a range of products and services for every stage of life, from savings and transaction accounts to home loans and insurance.

APRA

Police Bank is supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) to maintain operational standards that ensures the security of our members’ funds. APRA is the same body that supervises the major banks. Police Bank is governed by its Board of Directors, who have the best interests of our police community at heart.
